Program 3: Job Security Through Business Coop™

Same factors as described under the Program 2, except for those individuals and/or families with limited savings.

Individuals and/or families with a minimum of $5,000 in savings that can be used towards purchasing a ownership share in a business coop.
A coop will be created among several individuals who are 21 yrs and older with limitations. A franchise business, that has job tasks that can be accomplished by the individuals based on their ability, will be purchased by the coop. Long term benefits will be protected based on ownership. Job coaching and business managing will be provided by local non-profit agency and Careers Beyond Disability™.

This program is designed to bring individuals with disabilities out into the public sector in order to reap the benefits of working outside of a sheltered workshop along side individuals who do not have disabilities.
